On 30 November 2023, at the meeting of the EC High-Level Forum on Standardisation, 22 EU Member States and 26 organisations signed a pledge on Education and Skills on Standards. These parties have committed themselves to offering traineeships, developing teaching modules, or carrying out other actions to further education on standards in Europe. This pledge was prepared by HLF WorkStream 1, which I chair. The pledge was handed over to Eurocommissioner Breton by Mr Robert-Jan Smits, the President of the Eindhoven University of Technology.
